Located in leafy Teddington, just 40 minutes outside of London, The Lensbury is a hotel, conference centre and leisure club with an enviable position on the banks of the River Thames.

In addition to a water sports centre with kayaking, boating and rowing.
There is also a state-of-the-art gym and an indoor pool.

Making the most of its bankside location, guests can take to the water with a variety of activities including sculling boats, kayaking, canoeing, sailing dinghies and Kruger motorboats.
Children’s activities and courses are also offered via the watersports centre which make great Half Term and School Holidays activities.
At The Lensbury, families can enjoy days out together heading along the river towards Kingston and Hampton Court, taking in the scenery and riverside restaurants along the way. The famous Teddington Lock is an exciting sight to see.
There’s no excuse not to enjoy some time on the water when staying at The Lensbury. We hired a motorboat to cruise down the Thames. Mr Sloan was an excellent helmsman but Mini Sloan was the cutest skipper on the river.
Back on dry land, Mini Sloan made the most of the children’s playground at The Lensbury starting with some rocking that wasn’t too shocking.
Mini Sloan then moved on to the swing.
Soon it was time to brave the wobbly bridge.
Before having a go on the slide.
Mini Sloan thinks slides are more fun with Daddy – and Mr Sloan looks like he’s having a wonderful time too!
After all that family fun it was time to head back to our spacious family room for a mini nap for Mini Sloan before dinner. Beautifully styled with elegant décor, the Deluxe Twin family rooms at The Lensbury are generously proportioned and provide the perfect place to retreat following a busy day. The bedroom is decorated to a high standard and offers two king or queen double beds, making them perfect for families.
For added comfort these rooms benefit from Egyptian cotton sheets, air-conditioning, fridge with complimentary water, large flat-screen TV, docking station, Nespresso coffee machine and complimentary high speed Wi-Fi. The en-suite bathroom features fluffy bathrobes, Gilchrist & Soames toiletries and underfloor heating.
After a reviving nap in the room, it was time for Mini Sloan to get ready for dinner with Mummy & Daddy. With its fresh and seasonal menu, The Lensbury Club Lounge restaurant is a lovely spot to enjoy lunch or dinner with family or friends. It also boasts a well-situated terrace.
Although The Lensbury Club Lounge restaurant doesn’t have a bread basket on the Nibbles menu, the Garlic & Rosemary Flatbread from the Sides menu is just right for two or more people to nibble on.
Perfect to share, the small plates menu includes moreish Mini Honey & Sesame Sausages, tasty Chicken Goujons and crispy Courgette Fritters.
Let’s come in for a closer look at those yummy Chicken Goujons.
Also from the Small Plates menu is our family favourite – Sticky BBQ Ribs.
At The Lensbury Club Lounge, children under 12 will enjoy the Kids menu which features family favourites such as Mini Fish & Chips served with peas.
Meat loving grown-ups can enjoy a juicy 10oz Sirloin Steak for dinner – 28 day aged Sirloin served with hand-cut chips, grilled tomato and Bearnaise sauce.
Also on the menu is Lamb Rump – rosemary & garlic infused lamb served with fondant potato, spinach, Nicoise vegetables and jus.
Those with a sweet tooth will be delighted with the Desserts menu at The Lensbury Club Lounge which includes traditional British desserts such as Sticky Toffee Pudding served with butterscotch sauce and vanilla ice cream.
